It is the job that has to make the claims on the rest of this site true. An AI model does the writing and the drawing; deciding what good means, and holding it there across every age and every world, is a person’s job and this is the person.

The same idea has to arrive as a real book for a 1 year old and a real book for an 8 year old. A dragon a child invented on Tuesday has to still be recognisably that dragon on page nineteen. Each Story World has its own colour and its own character, and a shelf of finished books has to read as a set from across a room.

Somebody who has shipped work where a machine produces something a person then judges on taste — writing, illustration, editorial — and who has opinions about picture books they will argue for. You do not need to have built the machinery yourself. You need to be able to say why one version of a page is better than another, and then to make that judgement hold at a thousand books a week rather than at one.

£80,000 to £100,000 from January 2027, and 10% to 15% equity vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff.
